Hi, I am Charlie.

I write on personal finance, personal growth, happiness, productivity, spirituality and any topic of interest that hopefully may be of help to you.

I have gone through several challenging yet interesting situations during my career in finance, accounting, and management. And I have made many friends and acquaintances and networked extensively during all this time.

These experiences are the source of my ideas for writing and sharing.

People, inclusive of myself, have gone through several phases in life. Some of these phases may involve major changes. Yet we must deal with them.

Our modern lifestyle offers us many opportunities for growth. Yet, at the same time, it carries plenty of challenges to go along with it.

My thoughts may be of interest to people who may be business owners, entrepreneurs, managers, employees or just anybody interested in some managerial skills or life skills. Or just about anyone facing a crisis or mini crisis in life.

Change is inevitable. Go along the journey and embrace the change.

Interests

My interests revolve around watching movies, TV series, reading, taking pictures, astrology, and palmistry.

TV series that catch my attention are science fiction, historical and contemporary dramas. They are from all over the world.

My genres of interest in TV series spills over to books. I love reading science fiction, especially military sci-fi (the more mind blowing the better) and historical fiction. Non-fiction preferences include memoirs, personal narratives, self-help, business, history, science and the natural world, history, spirituality, and astrology.

This interest in the natural world and the surrounding environment has given me a gentle nudge to take pictures wherever I go, especially of food (dishes and ingredients), flowers, plants, insects, buildings and just anything at all that I find interesting. All the pictures taken of an object seem to tell a story when I revisit them at a future date.

I have always been interested in, and fascinated by astrology and palmistry. I used to read palms for fun years ago using knowledge gleaned from books on Chinese and Indian palmistry. My recent (since 2012) interest in western astrology have grown and by now I have read some of the best astrology books available. There is so much more to learn than horoscopes. Although it was a little overwhelming trying to figure out how best to learn about it, I have managed move in the right direction. This interest grew as the knowledge gained from understanding the stars also helped me understand myself a little bit better than before.
